New PC games in 2013

New PC games out in 2013

The PC has been around for decades and has been providing joy in the games released for both young and old. Of course, as more and more games got released, people started to get a little more discriminating with what they chose to buy, and this has led to all the different genres of games.

In the next year, developers will be releasing many much anticipated games and gamers the world over are squirming in their seats with excitement. While some of these most likely won’t see the light of day, others are going to be quite spectacular if they can ever make it to development stage. Gamers are starting to get pretty excited for what the new year will bring and so are the games’ developers. The year 2013 promises to be pretty exciting in terms of PC games of all genres and here we have listed just a few that gamers can look forward to.

Watch Dogs

If the word of gamers are anything to be believed, this is going to be one of the best games of the year in 2013. Made by Ubisoft in Canada, the game is going to be pretty breathtaking. Gamers will be able to find the demo online and can use this to determine both what the game is about and whether it is in a genre they want to play. What is for sure is that it is going to be a big earner and though we haven’t yet figured out why its going to be pulling in the big bucks for Ubisoft, we just know that it is.

Command & Conquer: Generals 2

Apparently, this is going to be one of the best strategy games to be released in 2013, thanks to developers Bioware. A sequel to the game Command & Conquer: Generals it will make use of the Frostbite 2 engine, which sadly means that it does not support DirectX9. Not DirectX9, no Windows XP, so if you are still using this platform, best you get your upgrade to Windows 8. For those who love their strategy games, this is going to be a great one to look out for and will probably be a big earner in the games being sold by EA, its distributor.

Crysis 3

When the world is in crisis, who is going to be the one doing all the work to save humankind? Turns out its going to be you. With this first person shooter, PC is going to get a little scary in 2013 as the next in the series of Crysis games comes to call. Running on a really powerful engine, the CryEngine3, the game is going to deliver some pretty impressive graphics and overall exciting experience for fans. And even if you’ve never played Crysis before, this will definitely be the gamer that gets you addicted and playing for life.

Gears of War: Judgment

Oh yeah! That’s right! Ladies and gentlemen, the day of judgment is almost upon us as this third person shooter game comes to the fore. Developed by Epic Games, it is the fourth in this series of popular games and apparently is due to hit gamers computers no later than June 2013. With it have more guts and glory, more weapons and more chances to blow things to bits? Well, that’s for the developers to know and for the gamers to find out. And boy will they have a great time finding that out. In fact, they may have to spend days and nights on this game.

Tomb Raider

This is another game that has been on the list of favorites for years and many players have been waiting with baited breath for this next installment. To this end, the game is due for release in March 2013 and according to the trailer, is sure to be one of the best of the year. This action adventure game follows the adventures of Lara Croft as she finds various relics and kicks some serious butt. What she will be doing in the next installment of the game remains to be seen, but we have a feeling it is going to be really cool.

The Walking Dead

Based on the TV series, this game is going to be pretty amazing. As a person living in the world of the walking dead, you are going to have to stock up with guns, crossbows and various other devices to kill the horrible wave of zombies. They want your brains, you want them dead and we know that both of you can’t get what you want at the same time. To this end, you’re going to have  to use just about every tool known to mankind to destroy this wave of infected flesh bags and save what’s left of your world.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots

In the same vein as many first person shooter, this game has a lot to offer players who like to kill things, thanks to Ubisoft in Montreal. In 2013, the game comes to the fore again as one of those offered by Clancy, and is sure to follow pretty much the same formula as so many of the other games in this series. While we don’t think there’ll be any surprises in these games, you never know and players may find something totally different to what they were expecting. Of course, it could also be the same old thing that players already know, which is not bad either.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Yet another game by Tom Clancy and yet another release from Ubisoft in 2013, this one promises to be even better than the six that preceded it. As the seventh in the series, the game does have a lot to live up to, and this is exactly what it aims to do with a function called Killing in Motion, which allows players to highlight their targets and eliminate them quickly. Those who loved the others in the series are naturally going to have to get this one too, otherwise their collection just won’t be complete and they will feel as though they are missing something.

Dead Space 3

Welcome to installment number three in this series of third person horror games, being developed by the equally creepy-sounding Visceral Games. Due for release in June of 2013, the game will be the next installment in the series and will be released not just on PC, but on PlayStation 3 and Xbox too.  If you’ve never played the game before know that just like its name, it is pretty scary and is not for sensitive viewers, however, if horror games give you a real kick, this is one you definitely won’t want to miss. And if you just want to kill things, its good for that too.

The walking dead deserves to be 2012′s game of the year, i have never been so emotionally involved in a game until now. There are a few games that were able to create a strong link between the main character and the secondary characters, and the walking dead is one of them. The way he story all came together at the end of the day was simply amazing.
